[ She wants to go home.

That's all she wants.

But she can't. She saw the datapad display her world as nothing but some wicked fulfilled prophecy. If she can just ... reset everything to what it was... to bring people back before the project, all would be right. She could go back to Columbia. Booker would be alive. Hancock, Jason, Luke, Yuno, Jack - ... even Rhys, they'd all be safe.

It's simple to her. A tear is a door to another world and she wants so desperately to do that.

So that's how she offers herself. That's how she views this can pan out. Being the subject of an experiment...? A specimen...? It's not unusual and oh how her heart pains coming to that conclusion.

Maybe that's all she is, in the end.

She lies in her bed, clutching at her pillow and looking at the datapad. She could bother the boys but no... she can't. They're all suffering.

If there was any solace it was that the Nuwa was safe. If they could revive the dead, that means the Nuwa could too.

...Booker could be alive. ]

...I wish you were here, Booker.

[ Elizabeth croaks out without thinking, feeling her breath catch in her throat. ]

I wish we made it to Paris.

[ It's after her conversation with Jason that Elizabeth... can't sleep. Like a gnawing bite at her flesh, it devours her. She feels herself slipping - she feels a weight on her that she's never felt. It.. hurts. All of this hurts.

For the first time in weeks, Elizabeth feels alone. This is somehow... just as bad as when she sat alone in the make-shift medbay after her revival. It's no secret that Elizabeth wishes she died and paid for her sins of killing Light and Hancock. She was coming to terms that it was a creature - not her - that inflicted this pain.

She was getting better. People didn't view her as a monster but -

now? That's a distant memory. Elizabeth feels trapped, she feels that she bares the responsibility of keeping Luke, Yuno and Jason alive. After arriving in the graveyard, she failed to help Rhys - she failed so badly and blames herself. When Jack arrived, she never forgave him - she allowed him to repent and hoped he could see his own salvation. Now with the two together... she's growing uncomfortable. There's a moral duty she takes on, but it's chipping away at her fragile state. She wears a smile like a sundress but her confidence has faulted after conversing with the survivors of the alien possession and the two Hyperions.

...She was alone, wasn't she? No one knew what she felt like, no one can relate to 1900s female oppression being trapped her entire life. She rambles on, putting her trust so blindly into her "friends" because... she has no one else.

And once again, she falls victim to that.

Luke gets a text message soon. ]

I don't want to be here anymore.

[ What do you do when the boy you have pretty clear feelings for is hurt and in her opinion, vulnerable? They came together out of annoyance and Mistakes, but - look, it's clear Elizabeth cares... She can't hide it, even if they tried. Maybe she's naive, maybe she feels too strongly too soon but she's from 1912 - do you blame her? She made friends here - connections that she romanticizes... some more valid than other. Liz was not without her own problematic behavior.

Jason didn't deserve this. No one did. There was only one thing to do this far: keep moving forward. But... they're allowed to mourn and grieve. Elizabeth takes a few hours after their last little meeting with the group to message Jason privately. ]

Jason? Are you feeling any better?
You better have changed your bandage after all of that defensiveness.

[ It's a little too late to express her apologies - after trying so hard to maintain order and put faith in Luke & Jason... she owes some people conversations. Yuno will get a chat invitation after the dust settled on the explosive trial. ]

Yuno? If you can, can we talk? If you're - if you're not ready, I understand.

I will simply put my faith in you once more.
One last time.

[ Fridays were rolling together far more quickly than she would have imagined. Two had passed and now, Elizabeth feels alone. She was in the dark, completely with what had happened. Loved ones on the ship as the final hours began ticking. Everything had shut off like little stars dimming themselves goodnight before the sun rises.

Elizabeth knew Rhys was gone and she feels a burden on her chest. She doesn't want anyone to worry about her - no one at all. Adelina, Hancock, hell - even Bull probably took a worry with her after her untimely death and she doesn't... want that. She wasn't a little girl, not anymore.

She sits on the springy, dry cot that situates itself in the corner of her cabin. It was lonely, but then again - was she ever really not lonely? Her whole life can be summed up to people leaving her or people living her alone.

Elizabeth hadn't the heart to venture out - to ask who joined them in the graveyard. One? Two? Who knew how many could be slaughtered as long as those creatures still roamed free. She had requested one thing - a notepad to draw lazily against. Her pencil drags in abstract shapes, blossoming flowers and flying birds daring to jolt off the page.

She was fine with this, she thinks. She served her purpose to help the others and she prays, oh, as her head lays down and she murmurs to herself - she prays for everyone aboard the Pygmalion. ]

WEEK 1
Across The Universe by Fiona Apple
Words are flowing out like endless rain into a paper cup,
They slither while they pass, they slip away across the universe.
Pools of sorrow, waves of joy are drifting through my opened mind,
Possessing and caressing me.

[ Luke will find a messag in his inbox shortly after the trial. ]

Luke, please answer. Jason... Jason's not answering my messages...

[ After a certain conversation, Elizabeth immediately tracks Jason down when he's returning back to his room. She had changed into her pajamas - a modest night gown and robe - and carries a pillow. ]

Jason, hold on one moment, please.

[ By now, it's easy to see they both had a long night. Elizabeth's tired - clutching onto her pillow a bit tightly as she stops in front of him. ]

... Would you mind if I spend the night with you?

[ Good job, Elizabeth, you're getting more bold. ]

I can't be alone. I can go sleep in the parlour but I figured I would simply ask -

Letters

This is the story of a girl, who cried a river and drowned the whole world.

[ If Jack had made use of the recreation room after such a horrible encounter with furries, robins, and a lamb - he'd find that his evening isn't going to end just yet. Elizabeth had been careful, waiting until the others allowed Jack to return to his room. IE: he probably insisted he had no where else to be. Luckily, "security" wasn't tight at all.

Like, at all.

Jack... psst.

It's a soft voice that doesn't match the quickness of the next few moments. In this brief amount of time of him leaving the recreation room to return to the elevator - something grabs him. It's sudden, a hand on a wrist similar to his actions earlier; a quick tug that forces the man (albeit slower than she would have liked) into the art storage room. With a shut of the door, the culprit was Elizabeth. Shocking, right?

Defensive, she gives the man his space and drags a hand down her face - her amputated pinky visible with no clear thimble like usual. ]

Lord, I didn't think I'd be able to reach out to you.

[ She hates this. She hates lying. She hates seeing him and she hates knowing that she's assisting him with something questionable. Elizabeth finds herself utterly stuck and to keep him from acting on impulse - she plays along. ]

Jack -

[ Her voice cracks a bit, and instead, she leans up against the wall, slumping a bit. ]

You know I didn't wish for any of this earlier.
baptizer: (pic#10456487)
[ Elizabeth doesn't think Jason needs to know why she left his room. It was... PG 13, okay. Nothing happened, but she definitely requested to stay in his room after a few nightmares plagued her. He was one of the few people she could trust and after his last adventure? She's keeping an eye on him when he can't.

HA.

Anyway.

Elizabeth had foregone her pajamas, dressed more for the rest of the day. She's stealthy, waiting for anyone who passes her to go on. She's by Jack's room, a sturdy knock without announcing herself.

It had to still be odd. She looked older - tormented by her own guilt with her hair cut short and skin more exposed. This wasn't the little girl he had saw so much "potential" in. ]
baptizer: (pic#10456360)
[ Elizabeth's been sleeping really good lately. Maybe when an alien isn't using her as a host, her sleep patterns would get well. It was the first night she couldn't fall asleep. She snapped awake, spooked by a nightmare and ugh... like a child, she couldn't be alone. Adelina's allowed her to stay with her, but most nights, Elizabeth leaves to the holding cells. It's still a concern, everything was. But. This...didn't stop anything from spinning. No, the murders kept happening - with or without the aliens.

She had slipped on a pair of socks, clad in only a night gown and her hair short against her neckline. Seeking out something, she requested a pizza and did something incredibly bold: knock at Jason Todd's door.

He'd been on her mind a lot. Ever since his encounter with the abomination that claimed Rhys once and for all... she watched after him. She cared, very much about his involvement in all of this. So she stayed with him until he could get out of bed (which honestly, wasn't very long because he's so damn stubborn).

She could go to the few people who look at her normally - Adelina, Fiona, Dorian, even - but no. She's at Jason's door less prim than she ever looked.

She looked normal, for once. ]

Are you awake? I know you are. It's - ... er, it's Elizabeth.
baptizer: (pic#10456345)
[ It takes a while for her to reach back out. Alice was not an entity she was fond of, a reminder of the oppression she faced and no true regret. The disregard - programmed or otherwise - to their emotions, their human needs, is a trait she hates. Alone in the parlor of the ship, she calls out to the AI, hoping she hears out and answers her - like a divine angel. ]

Alice? I'd like your company.
baptizer: (pic#10456347)
[ Yuno had tracked her down. Outside of the holding cells that Elizabeth has been trying to keep herself hidden in, Yuno and Elizabeth crossed paths. She's not too happy with it, not because she doesn't want to see the girl, but because she knows the pity that will follow. As selfless as she is when it comes to her will, she is selfish in her viewpoint. ]

Yuno? Were you - were you looking for me?
